The ability to articulate thoughts with confidence and clarity is a powerful skill. To celebrate the art of eloquence and encourage young minds to express themselves, we conducted Show and Tell competition for Grades 1 and 2 and English Elocution Competition for Grades 3 to 5. This competition provided a platform for students to showcase their oratory skills, develop confidence, and refine their public speaking abilities.

Activity Expo 2025 – A Celebration of Talent!

On 1st February, our students from Classes 6 to 9 lit up the campus with their creativity, knowledge, and enthusiasm at the Activity Expo! From captivating science experiments to thought-provoking social science models, artistic masterpieces, and literary brilliance, every subject came to life through the incredible efforts of our young learners.

It was a day filled with innovation, teamwork, and passion as students showcased their talents with confidence and flair. A huge shoutout to our budding geniuses for making this event a grand success!

Our little ones from Pre-KG, LKG, and UKG enjoyed a fruit salad activity.They brought fresh fruits from home and excitedly mixed them to create a yummy, healthy treat. This fun-filled activity taught them teamwork, sharing, and the joy of healthy eating. A big thank you to our parents for their support!

Grade 3 students’ event assembly  commenced with an energizer session featuring two vibrant songs “Popcorn Song” and “Let’s Go Song”which were performed by the students.Subsequently, the intellectual segment took place, where two students exhibited their knowledge of the states and capitals of India.The pinnacle of the event was the fusion show, which represented a collaborative effort of  English and Science departments. A group of students presented an innovative puppet show that effectively incorporated the principles of shadow theatre.

Honey Bunch School hosted an engaging and intellectually stimulating Spell Bee and Memory Game Competition for KG students. The event was designed to foster language skills, enhance cognitive abilities, and encourage healthy competition among students.The day was not only a showcase of talent but also a reminder of how activities like these contribute to the holistic development of our students.

On 13th January, our school celebrated Pongal with great enthusiasm. The campus was vibrant with children in colourful traditional attire, adding to the festive spirit. The celebration began with a tribute to the cow, symbolizing gratitude and respect for nature. Traditional dances performed by students captivated everyone. The highlight of the event was the preparation of Pongal, the delicious sweet dish, cooked with devotion. The festival beautifully showcased the essence of unity, culture, and tradition, leaving everyone with cherished memories.

“Finger puppets bring stories to life, allowing characters to interact in an animated way. Honey Bunch conducted Finger Puppet Making Competition for Grades 1 to 5 to kindle the imagination and creativity in them.This activity helped the children to stimulate their imagination, develop fine motor skills and promote self expression.!

Drawing Competition was organized for our creative kindergarten students.The event was designed to nurture creativity, self-expression, and artistic talent among the little ones, while also giving them an opportunity to explore colors and shapes in a fun and interactive way.

Grade 2 students embarked on a field trip to Kumki farms, Anaimalai, where students had a chance to explore variety of reptiles, birds and animals.Close observation of animals encouraged scientific inquiry within our little ones.It was a day blessed with refreshing and exploratory nature walk.

On the evening of January 4th, 2025, Kapila Hall came alive with the vibrant celebration of India’s rich cultural and religious diversity! The Musical Concert -24-25 was nothing short of spectacular, featuring soul-stirring songs, graceful dance performances, and a thought-provoking skit, all beautifully themed around Multi-Religious Faiths in India and the Arupadai Veedu.

The performances truly captured the essence of unity in diversity, showcasing the harmony of different traditions and beliefs that make India so unique.

On 21.12.2024, our school came alive with the spirit of Christmas and New Year! Students from Grades KG to 9 lit up the stage with vibrant dances and melodious songs, spreading cheer and festive vibes.It was a celebration of joy, togetherness and a fantastic year ahead!

Grade 5 students conducted an enthralling event assembly . The assembly started off with a prayer song and warmed up the session with Verbal Dynamics ( Choral recitation) ‘ I Had a Great Day’ where the students exhibited their expressive talent.That was followed by the students’ magnifying performance based on ‘Types of Angles’ using props. Finally,it was a wonderful moment to see the determined budding actors enacting tamil skit ‘ Neethiyai Nilainattiya Silambu’ with full of enthusiasm.A big round of applause was given to the students for their incredible performance.

Our kindergarten classes conducted a theme activity on “Seasons and Protecting Our Earth.” The students enthusiastically participated in various activities, including:

Creating seasonal craft and artwork
Singing songs about the seasons
Discussing ways to protect our planet and conserve natural resources

The activity aimed to educate our young learners about the changing seasons, promote environmental awareness, and encourage them to adopt eco-friendly habits.

On 17.12.2024, our Computer Science and Hindi departments hosted a remarkable assembly!

Talented Grade 8 students wowed the audience with their presentation on “Smart Stick IO,” an innovative tech concept. A powerful Hindi skit added a touch of inspiration to the event.

Pre-KG and Grade 1 students had a fantastic time during a farm visit to Kumki Farms. They got to see and learn about various animals, reptiles, and crops. They discovered new friends – furry, scaly, and feathered – and fell in love with the wonders of nature. The nature walk was the icing on the cake!

Experiential learning took place at its best! Hands-on learning, excitement, and memories to cherish – that’s what our little adventurers took away from this unforgettable experience!

Our Kindergarten kids celebrated different types of festivals like Diwali , Christmas, Pongal, Holi, and Ramzan with joy and enthusiasm. The day was filled with cultural learning and fun. The little ones embraced the beauty of diversity with smiles and laughter. It was a day to remember and cherish forever!

Students of Grades 6, 7, and 8 enjoyed an educational and fun-filled field trip to Aavin Palagam, Pachapalayam, Coimbatore. The visit offered insights into milk processing and dairy production, providing a firsthand look at how milk and milk products are prepared, packaged, and distributed. The students were fascinated by the modern machinery and the hygienic practices followed at the plant. They also had the opportunity to taste fresh dairy products.The visit helped students appreciate the hard work behind daily essentials and instilled awareness about healthy eating. It was an enriching experience that combined learning with real-world exposure.

A vibrant and colorful Kindergarten Frilly Outfit Competition was held and the event showcased the creativity and charm of the little buddies as they donned delightful frilly outfits. The little stars walked the stage with confidence, captivating the audience with their radiant smiles and cheerful enthusiasm.The event concluded with tokens of appreciation for all participants, leaving everyone with fond memories of the delightful day.

Awesome Writers ” competition was conducted for the students of grades 1 to 5.This encouraged the students to expand the innovative and creative thinking and paved way to express their unique thoughts through writing.

Grade 4 students led a fascinating event assembly . The assembly started off with a prayer song followed by a thirsty crow story narration through a hindi song. Our student delivered a speech on “Hardwork never fails”.The assembly ended up with the poem recitation of five different poems with handful of actions. The students had great fun in learning stories and poems.

Children’s Day Celebration at our school was a joyous and memorable occasion! The highlight of the day was the teachers’ delightful performances, which filled the students with excitement and happiness. Teachers showcased their talents through energetic dance performances, melodious songs, and heartfelt poems, leaving everyone amazed. “If you have a garden and a library, you have everything you need.”– As the quote says, the Pasunthazhir team of our school has taken an initiative of creating a Birthday Garden and now it is perfect for inspiring children to dig into the soil, explore the wonders of plant life, and understand the value of nurturing growth.

Kindergarten students were taken on an exciting field trip to Pollachi Kumki Farm Stay. This unique farm offers the chance to see exotic animals and birds up close, providing a wonderful learning experience. The children enjoyed a day filled with nature exploration and animal interactions, helping them to connect with the environment in an engaging way.

Honey Bunch takes great pleasure to accolade the gold medal winners of IFSE Global – ELT – English Language Test – 2024-25 held on 29th August, 2024 in our school. Out of 117 participants the following have made remarkable accomplishments and secured gold medals and appreciation letters.

Kindergarten students exhibited a theme activity on the topic ‘Means of Transport ‘. This activity encouraged the students to learn through playing and explore various modes of transport.They developed essential skills while exploring the exciting world of transportation.

Jubilant Journey!! Our students of grades 9 ,10, 11 and 12 went on a two day trip to Mysuru – the Heritage city , on Sept 27 and Sept 28,2024 accompanied by our correspondent, primary head and class teachers . Some of the significant highlights of the tour were the imposing Mysore palace with its state- of -the- art architecture , the ethereal beauty and grandeur of the Brindavan gardens and the extensive Mysuru zoo with its wildlife conservation education.The tour was an upbeat hands on experience for the children encompassing impressive views, exotic locations , remarkable galleries , memorable moments and insightful learning .

Kinder Dance Step Competition was organized for kindergarten students. They showcased a variety of dance styles, including classical, folk, and modern dances.The competition started with great zest and excitement. The participants were dressed in colourful costumes, twirled around and set the stage with their thrilling performance.

Students of Grades 3 to 5 were taken on a field trip to Vellalore Butterfly Park, Coimbatore.They were provided with an interactive and engaging learning experience , fostering curiosity and appreciation for nature, conservation and the life cycle of butterflies.This place prompted the students to discover the myriad of butterfly species around.

Students of grades 3 to 5 attended an informative guest lecture on the topic ‘Duties of Local Government’ conducted by the Municipal Commissioner and Sanitary Inspector. They explained the ways through which the local government helps the public to manage important services like water supply, waste management, Street lighting, Road maintenance and Construction. Students were encouraged to take pride of their community by keeping it clean and safe. Working together, we can make our neighbourhood a happy and clean place.

Competition is a good thing. It forces us to do our best”. Brain Bowl ( Term I ) -The students of grades 1 to 5 participated in the comprehensive quiz with great enthusiasm.

Poetry Recitation Competition was conducted for grades 1 to 5 students . The students came up with different poems on the themes like flowers, window and fruits. Beauty is the realm of poetry; the students enthusiastically participated in the competition and enjoyed the perfection of expression, thoughts, emotions, rhythm and music of words.

Students from grades 1 to 5 embarked on an exciting field visit to the local fire station as part of their curriculum. The children were fascinated as they explored the fire trucks,and learnt about the tools used to combat fire.This field trip has not only enriched their understanding of safety but also instilled a deep respect for the brave individuals who protect our community.

On 5th October, our school celebrated Navaratri with immense devotion and enthusiasm. The event was a vibrant display of tradition as students and staff came dressed in beautiful traditional attire, adding to the festive spirit. The celebration began with soulful devotional bhajans, filling the atmosphere with a sense of reverence. This was followed by the recitation of the 108 Ashtakam Sarvapatha, invoking blessings from the Goddess. The program concluded with the distribution of kumkum to all participants, symbolizing prosperity and protection.

Our school Throwball team participated in the 2nd Sub-Junior District Throwball Championship 2024-2025, organized by the Unique Throwball Association of Coimbatore District. The event took place on 9th and 10th October at Gandhi Memorial Middle School, Coimbatore. We are thrilled to announce that our team competed in the Under-14 category and secured an impressive 4th place! A big shoutout to our talented players for their hard work, teamwork, and dedication. On September 24th, Aravind Eye Care Hospital, Coimbatore conducted the “Eye Campaign” at our school, promoting eye health awareness among students and teachers. Under the guidance of Dr. Divya, the camp provided screenings and informative sessions that highlighted the importance of regular eye check-ups and proper eye care. Together, we’re fostering a vision of better health for all!

What a day of passion, energy, and sportsmanship! On September 18th, we celebrated an incredible Sports Day, where our athletes gave it their all across track and field events, basketball, football and throwball. From high-speed sprints to nail-biting matches, the air was electric with excitement. A huge honour to have Mr. T Palaniswamy, Vice President of TNBA, and Dr. K Jayakumar, MBBS, DLO, Member of the Indian Squad in England, as our esteemed Chief Guests. Their presence and encouragement inspired our participants to reach new heights.

The activity ” Creating HB sunflower garden” was initiated by grade 5 students to extend the creative inspiration sparked by the prose titled ” Irah Becomes a Flower Gardener” into a nurturing experience.

An art competition was organized exclusively for students of grades 1 to 5 based on various topics like Shapes, Warli and Mandala.The students made beautiful art patterns with great enthusiasm and showed great calibre.

The kindergarten students performed an animal parade and it was a wild and wonderful event. This activity was done to create an awareness about wildlife and build appreciation for them in young minds. The parade was a celebration of creativity, imagination and learning.

On August 31, 2024, a quiz competition for Term 1 was held for grades 6 to 9, focusing on Tamil and Science. Four groups competed enthusiastically, showcasing their knowledge and quick thinking. The audience, comprising students from the same grades, eagerly supported their peers throughout the event.

The Teachers’ Day event began with a Prayer Song and a warm Welcome Tribute from the students, followed by graceful and creative performances by Grade 8,9 and11 students showing their respect and appreciation for their teachers. The celebration concluded with enjoyable fun games and field games for the teachers, who expressed their gratitude for the students’ efforts and thoughtful gestures.

Our school came alive with joy and devotion as we celebrated Krishna Jayanti! From vibrant performances depicting Lord Krishna’s life to the beautiful decorations, students brought the festive spirit to life. The day was filled with devotion, dance, and celebration, honoring the birth of Lord Krishna. Jai Shri Krishna!

Clay modelling competition was conducted for kindergarten students in order to foster their creativity in various ways. The students were encouraged to showcase their artistic side and develop the skills like fine motor control and self – expression.

On 31st August 2024, our talented students from both primary and secondary grades showcased their artistic skills in a vibrant clay modelling, drawing, and painting competition. The theme for this year was “Lord Vinayaka”, and the creativity on display was truly remarkable! From beautifully sculpted clay idols to stunning paintings, our young artists captured the essence and grace of Lord Vinayaka with their unique interpretations.

On 19 th August, our students and teachers from grades 6 to 12 had the incredible opportunity to attend a motivational talk by Mr. Dinesh KSM, an aspiring agripreneur exploring innovative markets in A2 milk and its by-products. His insights into entrepreneurship and the future of sustainable agriculture left us all inspired and motivated! Thank you, Mr. Dinesh, for sharing your journey and knowledge with us!

The tiny tots of kindergarten participated in a music competition and it provided a wonderful platform to explore their musical talents ,build confidence and have fun while sharing their love for music.

A vibrant Pookolam (flower kolam) display was arranged at the school premises on 28 August for students in grades 6 to 12 to celebrate Onam. The event showcased the creativity and artistic skills of the students as they designed beautiful floral patterns. This activity not only highlighted the cultural significance of Onam but also nurtured a sense of teamwork and community among the students.

Our Kindergarten students celebrated a theme activity on the topic ”All About Me”. This theme encourages children to explore their unique identities and talents.

On Wednesday, July 24th, the Negamam PHC conducted a leprosy awareness programme for students in grades 6 to 12. The event took place from 9:30 to 10:30 AM at Kapila Hall as part of the National Leprosy Eradication Programme. The session aimed to educate students on leprosy, its prevention, and the importance of early detection and treatment.

The Independence Day celebration- 2024 was marked with vibrant performances, including patriotic songs,traditional dances, inspiring speeches, and a thought-provoking skit. Each act beautifully reflected the spirit of freedom and unity, filling the audience with pride and patriotic fervour.

Students from Grades 6-9 delivered impactful 2-min speeches on organ donation, accompanied by thought-provoking placards on 13th August.The event concluded with a rally, where students marched to raise awareness about this life-saving cause. We commend all participants for their dedication.

The School Governing Council (SGC) election took place on July 3rd, marking a significant event in the school’s calendar as students and teachers participated enthusiastically in choosing their leaders. The elected members of the SGC were officially inducted during the investiture ceremony held on July 22nd in which the newly elected members took their oaths under the leadership of the School Pupil Leader (aSPL). Ech member was honoured with a sash and badge, symbolizing their commitment to their new roles and responsibilities

We explored the magnificent Chettinadu temples, marvelling at their intricate artwork and absorbing the rich cultural heritage. The local cuisine delighted our taste buds with its unique flavours and traditional recipes. Beyond the sensory pleasures, this excursion served as a catalyst for camaraderie among the teachers. The shared experiences fostered stronger bonds, transforming colleagues into friends and making the trip not only informative but immensely enjoyable. We extend our deepest gratitude to our esteemed Correspondent for orchestrating this extraordinary trip. Her meticulous planning and visionary execution made this journey a resounding success, providing us with memories that will be cherished forever.

We are excited to share our pride and pleasure of hosting the Sports Summer Camp from April 22 nd to May 10 th. The event was held with meticulous planning in view of bringing about a physically active community through their interesting fields of sports. We saw enthusiastic participation from young athletes making the camp a resounding success. The diverse range of activities offered something for everyone, fostering teamwork, discipline, and a love for sports.

Siruthuli organised a half day training on Conservation of water, on April 12th 2024. Project ‘Thuli Thuliyaai Siruthuliyai’ (TTS), meaning ‘Drop by Drop’ with a mission to spread the awareness on Water Conservation among various cross sections of the society in the city of Coimbatore. As a part of this mission, Honey Bunch school along with many schools in Coimbatore attended the workshop. The message is for the children across the city, to equip them with knowledge on tools, techniques, technologies, and behavioural changes that can be adopted to become environmental stewards in their family and also create an impact in their neighbourhood. They also wish to work with the school managements to enable them with support required to monitor the water consumption pattern in their campuses and provide recommendations to adopt various technologies that can be used to optimize the water consumption within the campus.

On the 2nd of April, the 11th-grade students orchestrated a touching farewell event to honour and bid farewell to their departing 12th-grade seniors.The highlight of the evening was a captivating dance performance choreographed by the students themselves.Various games and activities were organized, adding fun and lively element to the programme.

The school hosted an informative and engaging Orientation programme for parents of students from Kindergarten to Grade 11, providing valuable insights into the upcoming academic year. The event, held with meticulous planning, aimed to foster a strong partnership between parents and the school community to actively support the child’s learning and development throughout the academic year.
