Pre-KG and Grade 1 students had a fantastic time during a farm visit to Kumki Farms. They got to see and learn about various animals, reptiles, and crops. They discovered new friends – furry, scaly, and feathered – and fell in love with the wonders of nature. The nature walk was the icing on the cake!
Experiential learning took place at its best! Hands-on learning, excitement, and memories to cherish – that’s what our little adventurers took away from this unforgettable experience!
KG THEME ACTIVITY – FESTIVELS
Our Kindergarten kids celebrated different types of festivals like Diwali , Christmas, Pongal, Holi, and Ramzan with joy and enthusiasm. The day was filled with cultural learning and fun. Grades 6,7,8 - Field Trip
Students of Grades 6, 7, and 8 enjoyed an educational and fun-filled field trip to Aavin Palagam, Pachapalayam, Coimbatore. The visit offered insights into milk processing and dairy production, providing a firsthand look at how milk and milk products are prepared, packaged, and distributed.
The students were fascinated by the modern machinery and the hygienic practices followed at the plant. They also had the opportunity to taste fresh dairy products.The visit helped students appreciate the hard work behind daily essentials and instilled awareness about healthy eating. It was an enriching experience that combined learning with real-world exposure.
Frilly Outfit Competition
A vibrant and colorful Kindergarten Frilly Outfit Competition was held and the event showcased the creativity and charm of the little buddies as they donned delightful frilly outfits. The little stars walked the stage with confidence, captivating the audience with their radiant smiles and cheerful enthusiasm.The event concluded with tokens of appreciation for all participants, leaving everyone with fond memories of the delightful day.
Awesome Writers
Awesome Writers ” competition was conducted for the students of grades 1 to 5.This encouraged the students to expand the innovative and creative thinking and paved way to express their unique thoughts through writing.
Primary Event Assembly
Grade 4 students led a fascinating event assembly . The assembly started off with a prayer song followed by a thirsty crow story narration through a hindi song. Our student delivered a speech on “Hardwork never fails”.The assembly ended up with the poem recitation of five different poems with handful of actions. The students had great fun in learning stories and poems.
Children's Day Celebration
Children’s Day Celebration at our school was a joyous and memorable occasion! Kindergarten students were taken on an exciting field trip to Pollachi Kumki Farm Stay. Jubilant Journey!!
Our students of grades 9 ,10, 11 and 12 went on a two day trip to Mysuru – the Heritage city , on Sept 27 and Sept 28,2024 accompanied by our correspondent, primary head and class teachers . Some of the significant highlights of the tour were the imposing Mysore palace with its state- of -the- art architecture , the ethereal beauty and grandeur of the Brindavan gardens and the extensive Mysuru zoo with its wildlife conservation education.The tour was an upbeat hands on experience for the children encompassing impressive views, exotic locations , remarkable galleries , memorable moments and insightful learning .
Kinder Dance Step Competition
Kinder Dance Step Competition was organized for kindergarten students. They showcased a variety of dance styles, including classical, folk, and modern dances.The competition started with great zest and excitement. The participants were dressed in colourful costumes, twirled around and set the stage with their thrilling performance.
Grades 3 to 5 field trip - Vellalore Butterfly Park
Students of Grades 3 to 5 were taken on a field trip to Vellalore Butterfly Park, Coimbatore.They were provided with an interactive and engaging learning experience , fostering curiosity and appreciation for nature, conservation and the life cycle of butterflies.This place prompted the students to discover the myriad of butterfly species around.
Guest lecture on the topic - DUTIES OF LOCAL GOVERNMENT
Students of grades 3 to 5 attended an informative guest lecture on the topic ‘Duties of Local Government’ conducted by the Municipal Commissioner and Sanitary Inspector. They explained the ways through which the local government helps the public to manage important services like water supply, waste management, Street lighting, Road maintenance and Construction. Students were encouraged to take pride of their community by keeping it clean and safe. Working together, we can make our neighbourhood a happy and clean place.
Brain Bowl - Grades 1 to 5 Term I Quiz

Poetry Recitation Competition (Grade 1-5)
Poetry Recitation Competition was conducted for grades 1 to 5 students . The students came up with different poems on the themes like flowers, window and fruits. Beauty is the realm of poetry; the students enthusiastically participated in the competition and enjoyed the perfection of expression, thoughts, emotions, rhythm and music of words.
Field Visit to Fire Station ( Gr 1 - 5 )
Students from grades 1 to 5 embarked on an exciting field visit to the local fire station as part of their curriculum. The children were fascinated as they explored the fire trucks,and learnt about the tools used to combat fire.This field trip has not only enriched their understanding of safety but also instilled a deep respect for the brave individuals who protect our community.
Navaratri Celebration
On 5th October, our school celebrated Navaratri with immense devotion and enthusiasm. The event was a vibrant display of tradition as students and staff came dressed in beautiful traditional attire, adding to the festive spirit. The celebration began with soulful devotional bhajans, filling the atmosphere with a sense of reverence. This was followed by the recitation of the 108 Ashtakam Sarvapatha, invoking blessings from the Goddess. The program concluded with the distribution of kumkum to all participants, symbolizing prosperity and protection.
Throwball Championship 2024 - 2025
Our school Throwball team participated in the 2nd Sub-Junior District Throwball Championship 2024-2025, organized by the Unique Throwball Association of Coimbatore District. The event took place on 9th and 10th October at Gandhi Memorial Middle School, Coimbatore.
We are thrilled to announce that our team competed in the Under-14 category and secured an impressive 4th place!

Eye Campaign
On September 24th, Aravind Eye Care Hospital, Coimbatore conducted the “Eye Campaign” at our school, promoting eye health awareness among students and teachers. Under the guidance of Dr. Divya, the camp provided screenings and informative sessions that highlighted the importance of regular eye check-ups and proper eye care. Sports Day 2024
What a day of passion, energy, and sportsmanship! On September 18th, we celebrated an incredible Sports Day, where our athletes gave it their all across track and field events, basketball, football and throwball. From high-speed sprints to nail-biting matches, the air was electric with excitement.
A huge honour to have Mr. T Palaniswamy, Vice President of TNBA, and Dr. K Jayakumar, MBBS, DLO, Member of the Indian Squad in England, as our esteemed Chief Guests. Their presence and encouragement inspired our participants to reach new heights.
Sunflower Garden
The activity ” Creating HB sunflower garden” was initiated by grade 5 students to extend the creative inspiration sparked by the prose titled ” Irah Becomes a Flower Gardener” into a nurturing experience.
Primary Drawing Competition
An art competition was organized exclusively for students of grades 1 to 5 based on various topics like Shapes, Warli and Mandala.The students made beautiful art patterns with great enthusiasm and showed great calibre.
KG – Animal Parade
The kindergarten students performed an animal parade and it was a wild and wonderful event. This activity was done to create an awareness about wildlife and build appreciation for them in young minds. The parade was a celebration of creativity, imagination and learning.
Quiz Competition - Term 1
On August 31, 2024, a quiz competition for Term 1 was held for grades 6 to 9, focusing on Tamil and Science. Four groups competed enthusiastically, showcasing their knowledge and quick thinking. The audience, comprising students from the same grades, eagerly supported their peers throughout the event.
Teachers' Day Celebration
The Teachers’ Day event began with a Prayer Song and a warm Welcome Tribute from the students, followed by graceful and creative performances by Grade 8,9 and11 students showing their respect and appreciation for their teachers.
The celebration concluded with enjoyable fun games and field games for the teachers, who expressed their gratitude for the students’ efforts and thoughtful gestures.

Creative Competition Celebrating Lord Vinayaka
On 31st August 2024, our talented students from both primary and secondary grades showcased their artistic skills in a vibrant clay modelling, drawing, and painting competition. The theme for this year was “Lord Vinayaka”, and the creativity on display was truly remarkable!
From beautifully sculpted clay idols to stunning paintings, our young artists captured the essence and grace of Lord Vinayaka with their unique interpretations.
Motivational Talk
On 19 th August, our students and teachers from grades 6 to 12 had the incredible opportunity to attend a motivational talk by Mr. Dinesh KSM, an aspiring agripreneur exploring innovative markets in A2 milk and its by-products. His insights into entrepreneurship and the future of sustainable agriculture left us all inspired and motivated!

KG – Tiny Tunes Talent Show
The tiny tots of kindergarten participated in a music competition and it provided a wonderful platform to explore their musical talents ,build confidence and have fun while sharing their love for music.
Onam Celebration (Pookolam)
A vibrant Pookolam (flower kolam) display was arranged at the school premises on 28 August for students in grades 6 to 12 to celebrate Onam. The event showcased the creativity and artistic skills of the students as they designed beautiful floral patterns. This activity not only highlighted the cultural significance of Onam but also nurtured a sense of teamwork and community among the students.

The students of Grade 1 to 5 participated in Handwriting competition. It encourages the good handwriting skills and provides students with an opportunity to display their competency of legible writing.

Leprosy Awareness Programme
On Wednesday, July 24th, the Negamam PHC conducted a leprosy awareness programme for students in grades 6 to 12. The event took place from 9:30 to 10:30 AM at Kapila Hall as part of the National Leprosy Eradication Programme. The session aimed to educate students on leprosy, its prevention, and the importance of early detection and treatment.

Elocution Competition - Organ Donation
Students from Grades 6-9 delivered impactful 2-min speeches on organ donation, accompanied by thought-provoking placards on 13th August.The event concluded with a rally, where students marched to raise awareness about this life-saving cause. We commend all participants for their dedication.
School Governing Council Election and Investiture Ceremony
The School Governing Council (SGC) election took place on July 3rd, marking a significant event in the school’s calendar as students and teachers participated enthusiastically in choosing their leaders. The elected members of the SGC were officially inducted during the investiture ceremony held on July 22nd in which the newly elected members took their oaths under the leadership of the School Pupil Leader (aSPL). Ech member was honoured with a sash and badge, symbolizing their commitment to their new roles and responsibilities

The teachers’ trip to Karaikudi on 30th May was an unforgettable journey that entertained and relaxed our minds and hearts. We explored the magnificent Chettinadu temples, marvelling at their intricate artwork and absorbing the rich cultural heritage. The local cuisine delighted our taste buds with its unique flavours and traditional recipes.
Beyond the sensory pleasures, this excursion served as a catalyst for camaraderie among the teachers. The shared experiences fostered stronger bonds, transforming colleagues into friends and making the trip not only informative but immensely enjoyable.

Sports Summer Camp
We are excited to share our pride and pleasure of hosting the Sports Summer Camp from April 22 nd to May 10 th. The event was held with meticulous planning in view of bringing about a physically active community through their interesting fields of sports. We saw enthusiastic participation from young athletes making the camp a resounding success. The diverse range of activities offered something for everyone, fostering teamwork, discipline, and a love for sports.
Siruthuli
Siruthuli organised a half day training on Conservation of water, on April 12th 2024.
Project ‘Thuli Thuliyaai Siruthuliyai’ (TTS), meaning ‘Drop by Drop’ with a mission to spread the awareness on Water Conservation among various cross sections of the society in the city of Coimbatore.
As a part of this mission, Honey Bunch school along with many schools in Coimbatore attended the workshop. The message is for the children across the city, to equip them with knowledge on tools, techniques, technologies, and behavioural changes that can be adopted to become environmental stewards in their family and also create an impact in their neighbourhood. They also wish to work with the school managements to enable them with support required to monitor the water consumption pattern in their campuses and provide recommendations to adopt various technologies that can be used to optimize the water consumption within the campus.
Farewell 2024
On the 2nd of April, the 11th-grade students orchestrated a touching farewell event to honour and bid farewell to their departing 12th-grade seniors.The highlight of the evening was a captivating dance performance choreographed by the students themselves.Various games and activities were organized, adding fun and lively element to the programme.
